Our apprentice RAF Cyberspace Communication Specialists are at the heart of everything we do, nothing starts without them.

Our Cyberspace Communication Specialists are responsible for maintaining all the communications networks the RAF rely on every day, and defending them from being interrupted or seen by the wrong people.
As a Cyberspace Communication Specialist you will be trained to use high-tech tools and equipment and will be responsible for establishing and maintaining systems.
You will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks; ranging anywhere from safeguarding our UK-based IT networks from intrusions, coordinating the RAFs vast array of information, all the way to establishing overseas networks and equipment for Deployed Commanders and Air Traffic Services.
We offer an apprenticeship with an almost guaranteed job at the end.
Throughout the apprenticeship and beyond, there are opportunities for adventurous training, sport and an excellent benefits package including: A fully funded apprenticeship with dedicated support.As a training provider the RAF is rated as OFSTEDOutstanding.
Excellent job security - During COVID19 Pandemic the RAF has continued to pay full salaries and have not furloughed any of our RAF Service employees.
A 12 year contract although you may choose to leave 3 years after completion of technical training.

QualificationRequirements You need a minimum ofGCSEGrade C/4 or equivalent in the following subjects: Mathematics English Salary: During first six months: £18,600+ (+ Benefits) Pay until completion of Technical Training: £23,400+ (+ Benefits) Pay on completion of Technical Training* - £27,200+ (+ Benefits) *After you have completed one year of service and successfully completed Professional Workplace Assessments on First Posting.
