Job summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as Bolton Mental Health Support Operational Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in Children's and Young Peoples (CYP) Mental Health sector.
You will play an important part in a forward-thinking service delivering interventions into schools and colleges within the Bolton area.You will work in partnership with other service leads/ Managers and other Operational Leads, and will further develop the partnership working that is currently taking place between education, the local authority and the Integrated care board (ICB).This role offers a hybrid working model, providing flexibility while ensuring effective team management and support.
The MHST manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing mental health services, ensuring the delivery of high quality support to education settings across Bolton.
Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible for the operational and financial management of identified defined service areas, for this post the Mental Health Support Team.
You will be visible and accessible to staff and service users acting as a role model and champion for recovery and change.The post holder will ensure that care of the highest standard is delivered and maintained within their identified areas.
This will be achieved through the setting and monitoring of key performance standards and ensure the development of the workforce.The post holder will work closely with other team members from a variety of clinical and service backgrounds to provide a psychological perspective to cases as well as ensuring the effective delivery of the Mental Health in Schools project.The post holder will ensure all interventions and care is delivered and maintained with the needs of patients/service users being central to service provision and development.The post holder will deputise for the Service Manager and cover in their absence, reporting through to the Head of Operations where required.

oAND/OR A master's degree or other equivalent post graduate accreditable qualification in a specific therapeutic - Must have accreditation with BABCP/BPS.
oSpecialist knowledge of Health Service Management and experience within a health and social care settings within the relevant field.
oExperience of working with CAMHS.
Desirable oPre-qualification training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training and/or other fields of child and adolescent mental health.
oA leadership/ management qualification oMasters level education or equivalent experience oQualification in Cognitive behavioural therapy post grad diploma and accreditable Experience Essential oExperience managing or leading projects/specific pieces of work in an NHS or Educational settings.
oManaging projects within Children and Young Peoples Mental Health .
oExperience of analysing, evaluating and implementing change which results in service improvement.
oExperience of clinically working within Children and young people's Mental Health services.
oExperience of operational management and service delivery.
oExperience of managing and reporting risks.
oExperience of change management .
oExperience of working with cross sector partners.
oExperience of actively working as part of a MDT in order to achieve shared goal.
oExperience of managing staff performance and disciplinary issues efficiently.
oExperience of maintaining quality standards in one's own work and encouraging others to do so in theirs.
oExperience of commitment to service user involvement.

oMust demonstrate an understanding of current government initiatives underpinning service developments.
oAwareness of Key Performance indicators to support the achievement of local and national targets.
oKnowledge of equal opportunities legislation odevelopment in line with government initiatives.
oKnowledge of the theory and practice of specialised therapies in specific difficult to treat groups.
oHigh level knowledge of the theory and practice of at least two specialised therapies/ Interventions.
Desirable oLevel of knowledge of research methodology, research design and complex, data analysis as practiced within the clinical fields of child and Adolescent mental health.
