This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist setting supporting students aged 11-16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, working in small classes of just five pupils.
Role Overview As an SEMH Teacher, you will: Teach and support students aged 11-16 who are working at primary levels.
Deliver a tailored curriculum that meets the individual needs of each student.
Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment to support academic, social, and emotional progress.
Foster strong relationships with pupils to help them overcome barriers to learning and build self-confidence.
Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for students.
Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning: Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with each student's needs, adapting your approach for small group sizes.
Pastoral Support: Provide effective care to support emotional well-being and personal development.
Behaviour Management: Promote positive behaviour strategies to maintain a calm and supportive learning environment.
Collaboration: Work closely with teaching assistants, parents, and external agencies to create a holistic support network for pupils.
