Main duties of the job Direct, hands on delivery of CPR Education,including the use of public accessdefibrillators, to potential CPR Champions inSchools.Work alongside our Clinical Community Leadto shape our CPR Smart programme.Provide ongoing support and mentorship forthe CPR Champions.Work alongside our team to ensure accuraterecords are kept highlighting the progress ofthe CPR Smart project.Support all other aspects of our ClinicalCommunity Strategy including training ofnonclinical EHAAT team members in CPR,and delivery of CPR education to othercommunity groups.Participation in events such as world restart aheart day and other local community eventsthat require a contribution around CPReducation.Contribute to the charitable activities of theorganisation.

Job description Job responsibilities The aim of our CPR Smart programme for schools is to educate and support School CPR Champions to deliver CPR education to secondary and primary school pupils.
Champions are teachers and sixth formers and the objective of the programme is to reach out to as many schools as possible within the Essex and Hertfordshire regions.
School CPR Champions are offered specific insights from our team into how to perform CPR, alleviating any barriers to the delivery of training.
CPR became part of the National Curriculum for all schools in England (and the devolved administrations) in 2020.
It has been recognised that even though teachers are enthusiastic about the concept of delivering a programme, there are common questions and fears that arise, that when addressed, can help boost confidence and increase authenticity of the teaching.
This has been described in the peer reviewed medical literature.
Our pilot programme in 2023/2024 reinforced the results of previous studies, and provided insights into the opportunities for the future.
Person Specification Qualifications Essential Professional Body Registration appropriate to background (for example Health Care Professions Council) Qualifications commensurate with your current role.

Experience Essential Current or recent employment as a paramedic.
Demonstrate an expert knowledge of the delivery of CPR in the pre-hospital phase of care.
Demonstrate an ability to lead engaging CPR education and training to a range of audiences.
Demonstrate an ability to approach common questions related to the delivery of CPR.
Ability to negotiate the various ethical aspects of CPR delivery when these are raised by members of the public, and health care professionals.
Desirable A knowledge of the published literature on public access CPR and defibrillation programmes.
Able to use different and evolving technologies virtual reality.
