This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at Farmfield Drive in Charlwood as a full-time Consultant Psychiatrist. The successful candidate will provide medical leadership and function as an active member of the multi-disciplinary team, taking on the Responsible Clinician (RC) responsibility for 15 patients on Brockham ward. The hospital is purpose-built and run by the highly experienced Elysium Healthcare group, with excellent transport links to London and Brighton.
Main duties of the jobAs a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for ensuring that people admitted are assessed, treated, and discharged safely. This will involve medication management, quality assurance, complaints and co-production, delivery of NICE guidance, and leading and managing the CPA and ICR process to ensure full compliance with quality standards. You will work with an established multi-professional team to deliver individualized care and have access to a large and supportive peer group of like-minded professionals.

Ensure that people admitted are assessed, treated, and discharged safelyMedication managementQuality assurance, complaints and co-productionDelivery of NICE guidanceLead and manage the CPA and ICR process to ensure full compliance with quality standardsPerson SpecificationQualificationsThe successful candidate must be a fully qualified Consultant Psychiatrist, registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Psychiatry or equivalent.Disclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
