Job Type: Full Time (Probation period 6 months) for Permanent Hours: 40 hours per week Job Location:Omagh, Co Tyrone Salary:The salary for this position will be discussed upon application and will be based on your experience and qualifications M&K Electrical Ltd undertake electrical installation work throughout Ireland.
We have experienced continuous growth for both new build and retrofit projects within the commercial and public sector, with a client base which includes some of the biggest names in the education, leisure, commercial and logistical industries.
We are looking for an experience Electrical Quantity Surveyor with electrical contract management experience with proven experience in working within electrical building services.
This is an ideal opportunity for candidate with either a degree, HNC or relevant experience in Electrical Quantity Surveying.
The main duties and requirements of this role include: Work closely with senior management and Procurement Team to ensure projects are tendered effectively and delivered on time and within budget Provide contract support and administration throughout the project Produce cost plans/estimates to manage detailed budgets Monitor initial cost plans to ensure works are complete within the budget Prepare and submit tender submissions on behalf of the company for future projects Deliver all works within a timely fashion and within tender deadlines During the contracts procure all materials and labour to complete the projects successfully and within budget Managing, developing and monitoring any compensation events or variations throughout the duration of the project Monitor retention payments and ensure they are submitted in a timely fashion as as per contract Prepare monthly valuations and final accounts Prepare sub-contractor and supplier accounts Tendering EU Based Projects.
Project Budgets and Commercial Forecasts.
Agreement of Variations and Final Accounts.
Full management of Estimating Department Provide technical guidance, advice and bid support including involvement with tender programmes and methodologies Attend site visits where applicable to ascertain tender requirements Develop & maintain good relationships with industry networks & clients Assist with the development of O&M Manuals.
REQUIREMENTS: Essential Criteria: Minimum of 7 years' previous experience in electrical estimating.
Proven track record in the electrical industry.
Eligible to work in Ireland/EU.
Willingness to travel as part of the role.
Valid driving license and access to personal vehicle for travel Desired Criteria: An electrical background (ideally a Qualified Electrician or holding an Electrical Engineering Degree) is preferred Recognised M&E QS Qualification Experienced in the use of AutoCAD & Revit Familiar with Managing supply chains and PQQ and ITT documents Ability to Analyse drawings and designs effectively to gather necessary information.
Experience with estimating software or implementing new estimating software Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
