Job DescriptionAberdeenshire Instrumental Music Service seeks enthusiastic and highly motivated Relief Music Instructor to work on a supply basis within schools and extracurricular ensemble projects in Aberdeenshire.Experience in working with a variety of children's instrumental music groups and ensembles is essential.Experience of teaching all instruments in your discipline to children of various ages is required for this post.
You have a relevant degree/diploma or the equivalent.As well as being motivated and enthusiastic, you have an interest in the welfare and musical development of children.The successful candidate will work as part of a team of music instructors.
Duties will include preparation for exams and extra-curricular activities.Ideally the candidate will have experience in digital delivery of instrumental music lessons.GTCS registration is not required for this post.This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act .
The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check.
Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required.
You will be required to provide this check.
A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.This post has a minimum requirement of one reference, which must be your current or most recent employer.
