A leading paint manufacturer have an immediate requirement for an experienced Paint Chemist to join them at thisre offices near Manchester.
Key Skills: Paint Chemist Salary: Circa £35,000 + benefits Location: Manchester, M12 5ED It is essential that you have a previous experience as a Paint Chemist ideally working with decorative paints.
AS Paint Chemist you be a key member of the research and development team looking at improvement, testing and troubleshooting, maintenance and evaluation of products, sourcing and testing raw materials, manufacturing procedures, test procedures, quality systems, R&D systems and documentation.
As Paint Chemist your main responsibilities will be to: To plan a pilot plant and scale up of products from laboratory trials through to the handover into the production facility.
To develop new formulations and produce samples.
To assist in the routine operation at the R&D Laboratory.
To analyse and evaluate raw materials and competitor products.
Investigate and formulate improvement of products and manufacturing processes and assist with their implementation.
Investigate and formulate solutions to problems in production, laboratory and the field, make recommendations to the Technical Manager, and liaise with other staff in remedying problems.
