Closing date: 9th December Interview process: Interviews will commence with a Teams interview followed by a face to face interview at our site in Burton Latimer We are looking for an individual with extensive experience in a senior Safety Health and Environmental Management role, in the manufacturing industry.
The Cluster EHS Manager will spearhead EHS initiatives to cultivate top-performing EHS teams, ensuring that our processes and systems not only meet legal compliance but also adhere to the Weetabix Standard for Health and Safety and the Weetabix Environment Standard.
With a focus on continuous improvement, this role is essential to maintaining our commitment to excellence.
The recipe
(Please note the responsibilities listed below are not exhaustive) The purpose of this role is to: Design, lead, and orchestrate the implementation of the manufacturing EHS strategy across the Cluster, ensuring alignment with centrally developed EHS systems and processes.
Take full responsibility for every facet of the EHS operations within the factory.
Provide EHS leadership within the Cluster to enable successful delivery of the EHS KPI Scorecard in line with business goals.
Lead, develop and maintain the competence of cluster colleagues through coaching and mentoring techniques to ensure compliance with regulations and our target of zero accidents and zero environmental incidents.
Ensuring that the appropriate talent is in place through selection, development, management, training, mentoring, and succession planning Provide support and guidance to ensure effective incident management, root cause analysis and corrective action planning.
Drive and own the closure of non-conformance actions through effective influencing and relationship management both internally and externally of the Cluster.
Work with senior internal stakeholders always ensuring impartial guidance and when required, facilitating visits with government agencies such as the Health & Safety Executive (HSE) and Environment Agency (EA) Create and own factory risk registers in line with WFC strategies where issues are identified and through these develop capital investment plans leading to improved legal compliance and incident/accident reduction.
Selection, justification, approval and on time delivery of risk-based projects (capital and non-capital) and change management activities which drive people, property and environmental protection both internally and externally of the Cluster.
Act as a Subject Matter Expert on safety, health and environment topics.
Requirements Non-negotiables Technical background in both Health & Safety and Environment with relevant qualifications Ability to create, maintain and update all elements of Safety Health & Environmental Management Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint is a must Proactive change agent able to build advocacy at the senior level harnessing excellent communication skills Demonstrated experience managing a team, change management and project management Alignment to Weetabix values Are always curious to find new ways to do business
