GSL Education are currently working with a secondary school in Portsmouth to recruit a Full-Time English Language Teacher to deliver engaging and high-quality lessons to students in Key Stage 3 & 4 .

Who is this Role Ideal For?
This role is ideal for qualified English Language teachers with experience teaching Key Stage 3 & 4 students, whether you're an Early Career Teacher (ECT) or an experienced practitioner ready for a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver engaging and well-planned English Language lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans that cater to the individual learning needs of students.
Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to take risks and develop their literacy skills.
Support students in preparing for their GCSEs and ensure they are fully prepared for exams.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure the smooth running of the English department.
Promote a love of reading and writing, encouraging students to engage with texts and develop their communication skills.
Qualifications and Requirements: QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent is essential.
A degree or relevant qualification in English Language or a related field.
Experience teaching English Language at Key Stage 3 and 4 .
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Passion for teaching and motivating students to succeed in English.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team of teachers and support staff.
Valid Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through GSL Education).
An up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
Right to work in the UK.
Must be within a 10-mile radius of Portsmouth (PO1, PO10, PO12, PO13).
Skills: Ability to create engaging and stimulating English Language lessons.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
A passion for helping students develop their writing, speaking, and listening skills.
Ability to assess and track students' progress effectively.
