Job Title: Technical Teaching Associate - Capital Markets Location: Belfast- Hybrid Type: Full-Time About the Role: We are seeking a Technical Teaching Associate to assist in delivering technology-focused training courses in the capital markets space.
This is a unique opportunity to combine your technical expertise with teaching skills, supporting learners in acquiring the knowledge and tools they need to succeed in a fast-paced financial environment.
Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and delivery of training courses focused on technology in capital markets, including tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
Support lead trainers in delivering interactive sessions, workshops, and hands-on labs.
Tailor content and teaching methods to align with participants' experience levels and learning objectives.
Help manage classroom logistics, including setup, technical issues, and troubleshooting during sessions.
Act as a point of contact for participants, addressing queries, providing guidance, and fostering an engaging learning environment.
Collaborate with training design teams to review and enhance course content, ensuring alignment with industry standards and trends.
Stay current with developments in capital markets technology, incorporating them into training materials where relevant.
Key Skills and Qualifications: Technical Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge of capital markets, including trading, risk management, and financial instruments.
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, or C#) and familiarity with tools used in capital markets (e.g., SQL, FIX Protocol, Bloomberg API).
Experience with financial modeling, data analysis, or algorithmic trading is a plus.
Teaching and Communication Skills: Prior experience in delivering or assisting with technical training or workshops.
Ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple, clear terms.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.
Educational Background: A degree in Computer Science, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Certifications in financial markets (e.g., CFA, FRM) or technology (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) are advantageous.
Additional Attributes: High adaptability and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
A passion for education and empowering others through learning.
Familiarity with learning management systems and virtual training tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or similar).
