Job Type: Permanent Working Hours: Mon-Thu 07:30-16:15, Fri 07:30-12:30 About the Role: Are you a precision-driven professional with a passion for craftsmanship?
Our client is seeking a dedicated Tool Maker to join their dynamic team
You'll play a critical role in designing, manufacturing, assembling, and maintaining precision tools, dies, and fixtures that are essential for friction welding machinery.
Collaborate with skilled engineers and contribute to exciting, bespoke machine-building projects that span the globe
Key Responsibilities: Manufacture, repair, and maintain precision tools, dies, and fixtures.
Assemble components like spindles, clamps, pneumatics, and hydraulic systems.
Read and interpret detailed mechanical drawings, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics.
Operate machine shop equipment (millers, lathes, grinders, CNC machinery).
Inspect parts using precision tools to meet tight tolerances.
Contribute to project planning meetings and tooling design improvements.
Perform onsite installations, upgrades, and repairs in the UK and worldwide.
Communicate effectively with the engineering and build teams to solve challenges.
What You'll Need: Experience & Qualifications: Mechanical Engineering qualification (City & Guilds or BTEC).
Proven expertise as a Tool Maker, Machine Tool Fitter, or bespoke machine builder.
Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and lubrication systems.
Hands-on experience with machine shop equipment.
Skills & Attributes: Strong communication skills and teamwork ability.
Manual dexterity, precision, and attention to detail.
Independent problem-solving mindset with a proactive attitude.
Flexibility to work overtime and travel internationally.
Valid UK driving license and passport.
