Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant Location: Lincoln Salary: £83.33 - £90.00 per day Start Date: ASAP Contract Type: Full-time Are you passionate about helping students with special educational needs reach their full potential?
GSL Education are seeking a committed and compassionate Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant in Lincoln to support students in their learning journey.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other specialists in providing targeted support to students who face learning challenges.
As an SEN TA , you will play a pivotal role in nurturing their confidence, developing their skills, and fostering a positive learning environment.
SEN Teaching Assistant Responsibilities: Assist in the implementation of tailored learning plans for students with SEN.
Provide one-on-one or small group support during classroom activities.
Foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere to promote student engagement.
Work closely with teachers to monitor and report on student progress.
Apply behaviour management strategies to meet individual student needs.
Support the overall well-being and personal development of the students.
Help maintain a positive classroom environment, encouraging active participation.
Qualifications and Skills: CACHE Level 2 or 3 or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Teaching Assistance or Childcare is advantageous.
A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field is preferred.
Experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is desirable.
Knowledge of SEN conditions such as autism, ADHD, or specific learning difficulties etc.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for supporting students with additional needs.
