Job summary We are looking to hire 2x Porters to work up to hours per week over a 24 hour 7 day weekwithin the Portering Service at Fairfield General Hospital.
We have a contract and a 20hr contract available.
You will also be required to be flexible in your working pattern as you may be required to work evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays.

Main duties of the job You will be required to carry out the full range of portering duties, which may include driving vehicles off and on, site, transfer of patients around the site by wheelchair, trolley or bed, including deceased patients and all associated mortuary duties.
You may also be required to transfer medical notes and medical supplies around the hospital site to various wards and departments.

Desirable Basic Maths and English Qualifications Knowledge,skills and experience Essential Experience of dealing with members of the public Ability to walk pushing a patient in bed, on a trolley or in a wheelchair along variations in levels Maintain Confidentiality as all times.
Good attendance / time keeping Ability to work alone or as part of a team Willingness to work flexibly and to use own initiative and show a positive attitude to Capable of working outside in poor weather conditions Able to carry or push items of varying weights along variations in levels and would include some stairs.
Desirable Previous experience of working in a hospital environment Portering Knowledge Understanding of Health and Safety
