Job Introduction Sodexo is currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Maths Tutor to work at HMP YOI Bronzefield.As a Maths Tutor, your main responsibility will be to support and educate prisoners in various mathematical concepts and skills, helping them build a strong foundation in mathematics and achieve their educational goals.Join Sodexo and be part of something greater.
You belong in a team where you can act with purpose and thrive in your own way.For more information on Sodexo Careers please visit  Main ResponsibilitiesTeach learners to improve their basic education levels up to Level 2.Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate activities and appropriate courses.Challenge negative behaviour and boost self-esteem through role modelling.Enhance prisoners' employability and support their rehabilitation to reduce reoffending.Deliver accredited and non-accredited courses in Functional Skills English and Maths.
Monitor the uptake of courses and employ strategies to maximise attendance.Track learner attendance, achievement, and progression, reporting any issues to the Line Manager.Please see attached job description for further information regarding the role requirements.The Ideal CandidateFull teaching qualification (minimum of CTLLS) or PGCE, or working towards one.Experience delivering Functional Skills in a classroom setting.An interest in the rehabilitation and resettlement of offenders.Awareness of equal opportunities and a commitment to recognising diversity and inclusion.Experience in instructing or supporting individuals with challenging behaviour.An Assessor or IV qualification is desirable.Experience working in a prison environment.Package DescriptionSalary up to £42, per annum - depending on experience.£38, per annum plus £3,;London Weighting per annum.Working Hours - hours (Regular Monday – Friday pattern)Working with Sodexo is more than a job; it's a chance to be part of something greater.
