About the job B1 / B2 Licensed Engineer Locations : Cyprus and Brunei Contract Description/Overall purpose of the Job Manpower is delighted to be working in partnership with one of the world's largest aerospace and defence companies, specialising in the design, manufacturing, and support of helicopters.
An exciting new opportunity has arisen as the result of a new contract, to support aircrafts for the MoD located in Cyprus and Brunei.
The aircrafts are engaged in a variety of tasks and will need to have maximum availability for the customer.
This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in aircraft engineering in a challenging and dynamic environment.
Your contribution will be key to the success of the contract and the operational capability of the customer.
There are positions available in both Cyprus and Brunei.
The time on site can vary between 3 months and 2 years based on your availability.
When not deployed on the Cyprus or Brunei operations you will be engaged in maintenance at either Oxford or Shawbury.
Main responsibilities Ensuring aircrafts are prepared for the days flying activity.
Line maintenance activities.
Participation in base maintenance on site in Cyprus or Brunei.
Defect rectification and fault diagnosis Production duties on site as and when directed by the chief engineer Flexibility will be key in this role and there will be on-call periods, as well as early starts with early finishes or at times late starts and late finishes.
Knowledge and Skills Essential Experienced aircraft engineer with extensive experience in rotary.
Pragmatic and flexible but with a keen attitude towards safety and regulatory compliance.
Good knowledge of part 145 regulation.
Methodical in approach to engineering problems with good fault diagnosis abilities Able to work closely with the customer and build relationships to achieve objectives Education, Qualifications or Training Essential Military training or civilian apprenticeship/qualification in aircraft maintenance UK CAA Licensed Desirable Type rated on the BK117D-2/3 helicopter About You Positive and upbeat when faced with challenges that might faze others Competent engineer that backs themselves and gains the confidence of their peers and supervisors Comfortable in unusual environments and willing to make the best of any situation.
Additional Requirements Due to the nature of this position, you will require DBS Security Clearance and be eligible for SC clearance.
Applicants must meet any/all requirements of ITAR and Export Compliance Regulations.
