Job Title: English and Maths KS3 SEN Outreach Tutor Location: England, Greater London, Rainham Job Type: Temporary, expected to work part-time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £20 - £30 per hour Job Duties: Provide English and Maths tutoring to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in an outreach setting.
Create individualised learning plans to cater to the specific needs of each student.
Deliver engaging and interactive lessons to facilitate student learning and progress.
Monitor and assess student progress regularly, adjusting teaching methods as necessary.
Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external agencies to support students effectively.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and achievements.
Required Qualifications: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience working with students with SEN.
Enhanced DBS check.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of teaching/tutoring experience, preferably with SEN students.
Knowledge and Skills: Strong understanding of the KS3 English and Maths curriculum.
Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of SEN students.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Organisational skills and the ability to maintain detailed records.
Preferred Qualifications: Postgraduate qualification in Special Educational Needs.
Training in specific learning difficulties support.
Working Conditions: Part-time hours, flexible schedule.
Work in an outreach environment, possibly visiting multiple locations.
Collaborative work with school staff, parents, and external agencies.
