Due to continued growth Next Generation are currently recruiting for a Vertical Borer to work with a well-established engineering company based near Halesowen.
As Vertical Borer you will be responsible for operating Webster Bennett and Berthiez vertical boring machines.
Shift Pattern for the Vertical Borer: Week one Monday to Friday (06:00am 14:00pm) Week Two Monday to Friday (14:00pm 22:00pm) Whats on offer for the Vertical Borer: Competitive hourly rate £17.68 per hour.
Commutable from: Stourbridge, Brierley Hill, Halesowen, West Bromwich, Wednesbury, Walsall, Wolverhampton Duties of the Vertical Borer: Operating Webster Bennett & Berthiez vertical boring machines Machining quality components in accordance with technical engineering drawings Handling and machining components up to 10 tonnes Correctly identifying parts using hard stamping Deburring components and ensuring they are fit for transportation Carrying out daily bookings against route cards and timings Maintaining machinery, swarf removal, routine oiling & greasing Carrying out inspection of all components throughout the process.
Operating overhead cranes The successful candidate for the Vertical borers position will have the following experience: 3 5 years experience vertical boring or turning (Essential) Programming using Siemens (Desirable) Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings (Essential) Time served apprentice (Preferred) Due to the high number of applications we receive, we are sometimes not able to respond directly to each candidate.
