We are currently recruiting for a Tax Associate to support the Direct Tax team dealing with various UK direct tax compliance matters, taking responsibility for the preparation of direct tax documentation for senior review.
This role can be based at Market Drayton Shropshire or, East Kilbride, Scotland.
Tax Associate key responsibilities will include: Preparation of annual current and deferred tax provisioning and supporting disclosures required for UK and group financial reporting for all allocated entities for senior review.
Preparation of annual corporation tax computations for all allocated entities for senior review.
Assist with cross border transaction direct tax compliance reports relating to the UK Group for senior review.
Be responsible for the initiation of UK direct tax compliance matters re foreign landlords within the wider group and preparation of the relevant UK tax compliance documentation for senior review.
Monitor all changes to legislation affecting Direct Taxes and keep the team abreast of ongoing developments.
Tax Associate key skills & experience Essential: College degree in a relevant subject.
1-2 years experience in a finance or tax environment.
Fundamental understanding of the corporation tax return process / corporation tax legislation.
Excellent working knowledge of Excel.
Desirable: ATT or AAT desired or Qualified by Experience.
Working knowledge of SAP.
Ability to keep up to date with changes to tax legislation.
Full on the job training will be provided, with the possibility of taking professional examinations.
Soft skills: Hands on attitude.

Self-starter, able to take a proactive approach to work and challenge processes.
