The post-holder will develop and demonstrate proficiency in their knowledge, expertise and operational effectiveness in rotational areas, including but not limited to, Acute & Emergency Admissions, AntimicrobialStewardship, Education & Training, Formulary Management & Medicines Optimisation, Operational Management & Leadership, Medicine Directorate, Medicines Information, Paediatrics, and Surgery Directorate & ITU.

The post-holder will assist in developing the specialist clinical pharmacy service to wards within their rotational area, in line with local and national standards and policies, ensuring the safe, clinical and cost effective use of medicines and staff The post-holder will provide a specialised level of pharmaceutical care to patients and will support other healthcare staff in the safe and appropriate use of The post-holder will be a source of specialised advice within their area of clinical specialism to other pharmacists and healthcare professionals, including participation in multidisciplinary and The post-holder will support the Lead Pharmacist for Education & Training in delivering training to pharmacists and foundation trainee pharmacists within their area of clinical specialism and must undertakeclinical supervision, mentoring and ward-based assessments of junior pharmacists, medicines management technicians and foundation trainee pharmacists.

Registered with the GPhC.
Post Graduate qualification in clinical Pharmacy or nearing completion, or demonstration of equivalent experience - Band 7 only Desirable Membership of RPSGB.
Independent Prescribing Qualification - Band 7 only Experience & Knowledge Essential Post-registration experience with substantial hospital experience -Band 7 only Experience in providing a pharmacy clinical service to patients in a range of specialities - Band 7 only Experience of delivering a high-quality clinical pharmacy service to a range of clinical specialities -Band 7 only Experience of multidisciplinary team working -Band 7 only Experience in providing pharmacy education & training, including mentorship - Band 7 only Experience of medicines management services to individual patients at the bedside- Band 7 only Evidence of on-going revalidation with the GPhC.-Band 7 only Specialised knowledge of the treatment of patients in a range of specialities - Band 7 only Knowledge of how the delivery of the clinical pharmacy service must meet the needs of local and national priorities Band 7 only Knowledge to teach higher-level clinical pharmacy practice.
