About the Role My client is seeking a Proactive Security Consultant to join their team.
In this role, you will be a key player in helping our clients stay ahead of cyber threats through innovative, data-driven security solutions.
Your primary focus will be to anticipate, identify, and mitigate potential security risks before they impact client systems, ensuring comprehensive protection in a rapidly evolving threat landscape.
Key Responsibilities Threat Analysis & Risk Assessment: Conduct in-depth threat analysis and risk assessments for client systems, identifying vulnerabilities and advising on mitigation strategies.
Security Strategy Development: Design and implement proactive security measures that prevent cyber threats and align with clients' business goals.
Real-Time Threat Monitoring: Oversee the deployment and operation of real-time monitoring tools, providing early detection and alerts for emerging threats.
Incident Response Planning: Develop and refine incident response plans to prepare clients for a swift and effective response to potential security incidents.
Client Training & Awareness: Educate clients on the latest security trends, best practices, and technologies, increasing their awareness and resilience to cyber threats.
Technology Integration: Work closely with clients and internal teams to implement security technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
Compliance & Standards: Ensure client security practices align with industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and PCI-DSS.
Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed reports on security findings, vulnerabilities, and recommended actions, keeping clients informed and engaged with their security posture.
Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with the latest in cybersecurity trends, tools, and techniques, bringing fresh insights to improve client protection strategies.
Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in cybersecurity, with a focus on proactive or preventive security measures.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, or similar are highly desirable.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in security tools and technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, endpoint protection, and threat intelligence platforms.
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex systems and anticipate potential risks.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Project Management: Experience managing multiple client projects simultaneously, with attention to deadlines and detail.
Mindset: A proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organized approach to security; driven by a commitment to prevent security issues before they arise.
