Job Description Ultra Precision Control Systems (PCS) are looking for a Commercial Officer to join the Commercial Function.
The Ultra Commercial function is responsible for the effective management of the contractual agreements entered into by PCS, including the negotiation of the terms and conditions of contractual agreements with customers, suppliers and partners, ensuring compliance with those agreements and agreeing changes to them as the need arises.
The diversity of product portfolio, customers and platforms within PCS ensures a variety of commercial challenges.
Key Responsibilities: The day to day point of interface on commercial and contractual matters for selected contracts Timely development, approval and issuance of bids and proposals in line with delegation of authority.
Support the identification of commercial risk and the development and implementation of effective risk mitigation strategies and actions Ensure that the Company's contractual obligations are communicated to the project teams and support functions Support the resolution of commercial issues Support the project teams to identify contract changes and engage the Change Control process Reviewing, re-drafting and supporting the negotiation of customer contracts, amendments and agreements.
Support the protection and management of the company's intellectual property rights Help develop, improve and maintain Commercial policies and processes Liaison with the trade compliance team to ensure compliance with regulations Knowledge, skills and experience: Essential Well organised and confident individual able to take the lead on business issues Previous experience in a customer interface role Can demonstrate the ability to identify key areas in contract terms supplied by other parties that, if accepted, would represent a significant risk to the Company A lateral thinker that demonstrates Commercial awareness, business acumen and an attention to detail whilst meeting challenging deadlines Confidence with numbers Good communicator – oral and written Can demonstrate the ability to effectively liaise with internal and external customers and stakeholders Works effectively in a team Self-motivated and proactively able to manage own work to in order to achieve objectives Use own initiative within the scope of the role Plans work and delivers on time, with agility to re-plan priorities to meet the needs of the business Demonstrates a high level of integrity and inspires trust Ability to identify and develop solutions to problems Demonstrates a "Can do" positive attitude, with a willingness to develop Good application of Microsoft packages and relevant software Embraces and shares Ultra's ASPIRE values Desirable Recognition of contract law Recognition of export control regulations Previous experience in Aerospace or a similar field Previous experience in reviewing complex contractual documents Qualifications Degree in a relevant discipline including but not limited to: law, economics, business, or suitable equivalent experience GCSE Maths and English Benefits: Every employee is critical to our success and as such we offer a range of flexible employee benefits along with career development opportunities.
