About the role: As a Secondary Supply English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and dynamic English lessons to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Your role will involve covering planned lessons, ensuring that students remain motivated and focused while maintaining ambitious standards of learning.
Whether it is working on long-term assignments or providing cover for short-term absences, this is a flexible role with opportunities to have influence in the lives of students.
Key Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality English lessons in line with the curriculum.
Adapt teaching methods to suit a range of abilities and learning styles.
Ensure students' progress is monitored and supported during lessons.
Provide constructive feedback and maintain a positive classroom environment.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff members to ensure smooth operation.
Implement school policies and uphold ambitious standards of behaviour.
What We Are Looking For: Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.
A strong understanding of the English curriculum at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to different school environments.
A passion for inspiring and motivating students.
A DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

As members of the REC (Recruitment & Employment Confederation) and Umbrella body to the DBS, (Disclosure & Barring Service) Excell Supply is committed to the safeguarding and welfare of children.
All applicants will be subject to thorough employment checks and must have an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service certificate in place.
Candidates without an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service will have to apply for a new one.
