Data Architect – Birmingham (Hybrid Working or Fully Remote)) Salary: Up to £80,000 + £450 per month car allowance (£86k total package) + 10% bonus We are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Data Architect to join a leading IT services organisation.
This is a permanent position based in Birmingham , offering a flexible hybrid working model (2-3 days a week in the office).
With a competitive salary package, including a £450 monthly car allowance and a 10% bonus , this is a fantastic opportunity for a technical expert to make a real impact within a dynamic team.
The Role As a Data Architect , you will play a pivotal role in delivering cutting-edge data solutions that empower businesses to unlock the full potential of their data.
Collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and technical teams, you'll lead the design, development, and implementation of robust data architectures using the Microsoft Data Services Portfolio .
Key Responsibilities : Collaborate with clients to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable data architecture and data warehouse solutions.
Design and implement data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and integration solutions using tools like Azure Data Factory , Azure Synapse , and Databricks .
Define and implement best practices for database design and ETL processes.
Develop scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure data architectures, ensuring they meet performance and compliance standards.
Serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, building long-term relationships.
Create high-quality documentation, including design proposals, implementation plans, and technical guides.
Ensure all solutions adhere to information security and compliance requirements.
What We're Looking For Proven experience as a Data Architect with a strong background in data modelling, data warehousing, and architecture frameworks.
Expertise in the Microsoft Data Services Portfolio , including PowerBI , SQL , Azure Data Factory , Azure Data Lake , Databricks , and Synapse .
Experience with Microsoft Fabric is a bonus.
Hands-on experience with programming languages such as SQL , Python , or Scala .
Experience designing data lake and data warehousing architectures, including schemas and pipelines.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality technical documentation.
Ideally, Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Data Engineer Associate.
A logical, process-oriented approach with flexibility to adapt to rapid change and work in Agile environments.
Must be eligible to obtain Security Clearance .
