Production Manager Objectives of this role Plan, organise and structure operational resources to successfully fulfil customer orders Stabilise operational teams and resources including, picking, packing, , finishing and manufacturing to ensure KPIs are achieved and maintained Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance standards focussed to consistently provide exceptional quality products and services Increase the efficiency of existing processes and procedures to enhance manufacturing capacity to enable the company to insource 20% of manufacturing activities and meet key delivery and capability KPIs Ensure that operational activities remain on time and within budget Manage, lead, and develop staff Responsibilities Implement production systems, processes and disciplines including but not limited to planning, scheduling, and sequencing to ensure best use of resources and on time delivery of Customers' orders Implement industry leading manufacturing practices covering all manufacturing, finishing, assembly, packing and shipping functions. Implement and improve the quality assurance processes and disciplines and accountable to ensure provide exceptional quality products and services Create and maintain HSE standards ensuring safety of all stakeholders as well as compliance to regulations, the wellbeing of our staff, housekeeping standards through 5S disciplines. Lead, train, motivate and support the team within a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including process improvements and problem resolution. Partner and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve planning, processes, systems and ultimately customer satisfaction. Budget and cost control Schedule production and assembly activities and the outcomes to comply with QA and OTIF requirements. Accountable for staff conduct, wellbeing, living the values and development Preferred skills and qualifications Minimum five years of proven success in a similar production management role Has successfully led improvement projects in job lot production environments with significant demand Strong emotional intelligence and a very good leader of people and change management Excellent ability to delegate responsibilities while maintaining organizational control of branch operations and customer service Knowledge of business productivity software and an aptitude for learning new applications Deep understanding of production processes and related quality management systems Formal production management qualification or training essential (or equivalent technical qualification) Working knowledge of relevant software tools incl MES, MPS, MRPStrong skills in cost control Experience at working on the shop floor Personal attributes / characteristics Displays a can-do attitude Is a team player & builder, believes in the success of the team as opposed to individual ambition Biased to seeking improvement and driving the necessary change. Communicates with candour and displays resilience towards the purpose Excellent problem-solving mindset Rigorous attention to detail, highly organized individual Customer orientated, internal and external Motivated, energetic, and focussed individual Able to develop and maintain an environment of trust, diversity, and inclusion within the operations team.
