As part of this continued growth, we are looking for an additional Approval Engineer to join our Type Approval team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the approval of product(s) produced by the Company for both national and international markets, and for working with internal departments and external partners to obtain the necessary system and vehicles approvals.
The role will also involve periodic assessments to demonstrate ongoing compliance to the technical requirements granted for all approved vehicles.
Key Tasks Producing and collating reports/documentation, including 2D CAD drawings for submission to the approval authority.
Responsible for the management and maintenance of various documents and records within the department.
Responsible, in conjunction with other departments, for obtaining Vehicle Type Approval for specified Wrightbus products.
Responsible, for assessing the impact of regulations associated with the design, manufacture and use of buses in any country in which the Company seek business opportunities.
Responsible, in conjunction with other departments, for obtaining approvals for any country in which the Company target vehicle placement.
Responsible for reviewing vehicle design and specification to ensure previously granted approvals remain valid.
Responsible, for creating test plans, test strategies, and arranging test programs with external agencies.
Responsible for regular assessments and interpretation of regulations.
Responsible for assessment, development, and creation of in-house test plans to ensure product compliance with Wrightbus approvals.
To liaise with necessary departments, internal or external, to help resolve any regulatory non-compliances, as applicable.
Liaise with internal and external agencies to ensure Conformity of Production and ISO accreditation is maintained.
Undertake relevant training associated with the effective operation of the post.

Undertake any other duties conducive with the effective operation of the post.
General Undertake all duties in line with General Data Protection and maintain utmost level of confidentiality.
Ensure work is completed to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard.
Ensure that you treat those with whom they come into contact in a courteous and respectful manner in accordance with the Dignity at Work Procedure.
