Role Summary We have an exciting opportunity to join the Quality Assurance/Technical Services team as a Senior Pharmacy Assistant.
We are looking for a friendly, reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic individual with experience of working in quality assurance and/or aseptic preparation.
Candidates with previous experience of working within a Pharmaceutical setting will be considered.
Whilst working in Quality Assurance, you will be required to undertake temperature mapping and monitoring of drug storage areas, safe disposal of hazardous chemical waste and microbiological samples, compile reports and undertake other administrative duties.
You will occasionally be required to perform microbiological and physical environmental monitoring duties with the aseptic suite, to cover staff absences.
You will also be required to work in the aseptic suite assisting in the preparation of chemotherapy and helping with cleaning and stock control duties.

More detail about the role Ideally, you will hold the BTEC Level 2 Unit 7 certificate: Principles of Safe Preparation and Manufacturing of Medicines and Pharmaceutical Products; if not, you will be supported to achieve this via in-house training.
You will be computer literate and be competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Access.
Consideration will be given for strong candidates who may not meet the essential criteria to undertake this role on a developmental basis with set competency targets.
Roles offered on a developmental basis will be banded lower (Band 2) than originally advertised until competency targets are met.
Any successful applicant will be expected to participle in flexible working which will include weekend, late duty and Bank Holiday rotas.
