Job summary The post holder will be responsible for providing clinical leadership for the IBD teams and supporting service excellence for patient care.

They will be accountable for the professional practice and development of IBD nursing and patient care.
The post holder will have expert specialist knowledge and provide clinical advice and support for patients with IBD.
Clinical nurse specialist in the defined area of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) Provide comprehensive clinical skills, information, advice and support to patients with IBD within the RDUH, Eastern & Northern services Work as an independent practitioner alongside other members of the multidisciplinary team.
Undertake research and participate in clinical audits in own specialist area, ensuring maintenance of clinical excellence, underpinned by evidence-based practice.
Participate in the education and training of the multidisciplinary team within the trust, regionally, nationally and internationally.
Provide expert clinical advice and support to all members of the multidisciplinary team within the trust, locally and nationally.

More detail about the role A Clinical Nurse Manager in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) post has arisen within the IBD nursing team, based at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Eastern Service).
This is a full-time permanent position.
This post will suit an experienced, dynamic and motivated senior nurse/nurse specialist with an interest in IBD.
It is an excellent opportunity to work alongside an established IBD CNS team and a large IBD multi-disciplinary team across Eastern and Northern services.
Informal visits and discussions are encouraged.
