We are working with a leading UK law firm to recruit a Senior Compliance Lawyer to join their established in-house risk team.In this role, you’ll work closely with the General Counsel and senior management team, supporting the firm across the full spectrum of risk and compliance matters. This is a broad, high-level position offering exposure to all areas of regulatory compliance, professional standards, and governance within a respected and forward-thinking firm.The firm is looking for a qualified solicitor (Scotland or England & Wales) with experience in law firm risk and compliance or a related regulatory environment. Senior-level experience within a law firm compliance or governance role would be particularly valuable.Your responsibilities will include:Supporting the ongoing development of the firm’s risk management systems and controlsAdvising on client engagement terms, outside counsel guidelines, and related documentationReviewing potential conflicts of interest and advising on appropriate resolutionsDrafting, reviewing, and negotiating supplier contractsDeveloping and updating internal policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changeDelivering training and guidance on professional standards and compliance issuesAdvising on day-to-day risk and ethical queries across the firmThe ideal candidate will have strong drafting and communication skills, sound judgement, and the ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders.
