This is a great opportunity to join a fast-growing network solutions provider at an exciting stage of expansion. You’ll be based in their Liverpool office, working alongside an experienced technical leader and mentoring a team of three Network Engineering Apprentices.This role will evolve quickly — starting with hands-on 1st and 2nd line support before transitioning into projects and pre-sales. If you’ve got solid routing and switching experience, are confident configuring switches, and want to grow into a customer-facing project or design role, this is the ideal next step.You’ll gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies including Fortinet SD-WAN and Security, Dell Data Centre Networks, and Cisco Infrastructure — in a company that’s investing heavily in its people and services.Responsibilities: • Provide 1st and 2nd line network support for enterprise customers. • Mentor and support three Network Engineering Apprentices. • Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain switches, routers, and firewalls. • Support and assist in the delivery of Fortinet SD-WAN and Security solutions. • Engage in project delivery and contribute to technical pre-sales activities. • Work closely with senior engineers to develop network designs and solutions. • Collaborate with the wider team to enhance service delivery and efficiency.Skills / Must Have: • Proven hands-on experience in routing and switching. • Ability to configure switches independently. • Exposure to Fortinet, Cisco, or Dell networking environments. • Desire to grow into project delivery and pre-sales. • Strong communication and mentoring skills. • Proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and take ownership.Nice to Have: • Experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) or customer-facing technical role. • Knowledge of SD-WAN and network security concepts. • Any relevant certifications (Cisco, Fortinet, CompTIA) are beneficial but not essential.Benefits: • Salary between £30,000–£40,000 per annum, depending on experience. • Optional on-call allowance: £200 per week. • Fast-track career development into project or pre-sales engineering. • Direct mentoring and support from senior network leadership. • Collaborative, growth-focused culture with strong investment in training. • Office-based role with flexibility: 3–5 days per week in Liverpool.Salary: £30,000–£40,000 per annum + £200/week on-call (optional)Location: Liverpool (office-based 3–5 days per week)About the Employer:A dynamic network and managed services organisation delivering end-to-end connectivity, security, and cloud solutions across the UK and Europe.
