Transport Planner

We are looking for a Transport Planner to join our Transport & Mobility team to work on a diverse range of projects that cover urban development, infrastructure planning and design, resource management, and programme delivery. This position is within our Cities business unit that is at the forefront of innovation in the urban environment. This role involves participating in a variety of exciting projects globally, from strategic master planning to transport assessments at the development stage. Our recent projects include a large-scale medical facility in Qatar, Tottenham Hotspur's new stadium in North London, and a master plan for a garden city in Malaysia.What We're Looking For: Experience in transport planning, economics, and/or transport data analysis/modellingStrong communication skills with the ability to prepare and present work to both internal and external stakeholdersCreative and innovative mindset, with a lateral thinking approachExperience working as part of a project-based teamProficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint (other software tools are a plus)Desirable Skills: Experience using Adobe packages (Illustrator and InDesign) and GISCapability in other transport or city planning skills such as master planning and planning strategyUnderstanding of development planning principles and integrated design within master planningExperience working on international projects and flexibility to travelKey Responsibilities: Preparation, development, and analysis of transport dataConcept design and master planning for transport schemesInvolvement in design workshops and developing concept designsDrafting technical reports and presentationsManaging time in accordance with project schedules and client expectationsSupporting business development initiatives and contributing to bidsPromoting transport planning/analysis to existing and potential clientsTraining junior staff and contributing to the upskilling of the wider transport planning teamJoin Us: Buro Happold is an equal opportunity employer.
