This is an exciting opportunity to work across all project stages, from concept design and product development through to installation and commissioning.You'll play a key role in delivering technical excellence, working closely with project teams, clients, and external consultants to develop cutting-edge solutions for complex engineering challenges in the data centre sector.This role would suit:Mechanical Engineers with construction or built environment experienceEngineers seeking to specialise in mission-critical or data centre facilitiesProfessionals looking to work on innovative technology projectsThose who enjoy collaborative, multidisciplinary project environmentsEngineers wanting to develop both technical design and client-facing skillsKey Responsibilities:Oversee technical design for mechanical aspects of data centre projects, collaborating with internal teams, suppliers, and consultantsSupport business development teams with concept designs, value engineering, and technical proposalsCoordinate project resources to manage technical design from initiation through to completionAnalyse technical challenges and develop innovative solutions to overcome project difficultiesParticipate in product testing, evaluation, and continuous improvement initiativesLiaise with clients, principal contractors, and design teams to ensure technical alignment and complianceProduce outline design sketches and contribute to future product developmentProvide technical input for CFD modelling and thermal analysisPrepare comprehensive technical documentation and specificationsWork with subcontractors and consultants to ensure regulatory complianceCollaborate with project managers, BMS engineers, and technical designers across multidisciplinary teamsProvide technical support for live operational facilities, delivering excellent customer service and maintaining professional standardsEssential RequirementsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Master's or similarProfessional engineering licensure or chartered status (or working towards).
