Process Safety Engineer (Chemical)EcclesMonday to Friday – Flexible TimeFrom £55,000 to £65,000My client, who is a leading global producer of specialty chemicals, polymer additives and precursors, is looking for an experienced Process Safety Engineer.The Role:You'll be instrumental in driving plant and process design, maintenance, and development, with a laser focus on safety, compliance, and innovation in a COMAH site.Responsibilities: Lead the design, inspection, and development of high-hazard chemical processes.Champion COMAH and REACH compliance, keeping us ahead of regulatory expectations.Drive HAZOPs, process optimisation, and safety envelope development.Oversee plant commissioning and modifications—from concept to documentation and delivery.Partner with HSE, regulators, and auditors to prove our performance.Play a pivotal role in our COMAH Intervention Programme, focusing on Process Safety and Aging Plant strategies.Train, mentor, and support operators during trials, commissioning, and process rollouts.The Candidate:Strong experience in chemical/process engineering within a COMAH-regulated environment.A proven track record in process safety, compliance, and plant optimisation.Sharp troubleshooting skills and a passion for continuous improvement.The confidence to lead multi-disciplinary teams and engage with senior stakeholders, regulators, and auditors.3 years minimum of experience in similar role.Benefits:Total Rewards Program401(K) Savings PlanMedical and Prescription Drug BenefitsLife Insurance and DisabilityVoluntary BenefitsEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Wellness ServicesOnline Coaching Programs26 days holidaysTuition ReimbursementPlease contact Marie Brisson at Winsearch UK for further information – marie.brisson@winsearch.ukWinsearch acts as an employment agency for permanent staff.
