Your location: Bristol (surrounding area)The right candidate shall have experience in the electrical installation and maintenance of industrial sites and specific knowledge of DC electrical systems. You will have previous experience or technical knowledge of photovoltaic systems and high-voltage systems. Good ability and confidence in using basic electrical equipment such as multimeters and insulation testers is required.Who are we? Main responsibilities Visual inspection activities, cleaning and reporting to the management team.Routine maintenance activities on modules, inverters, cables and connectors, and DC and AC distribution boxes.Routine maintenance activities on module mounting systems, fences and gates, and inverter and transformer stations (excluding equipment).Routine maintenance activities on monitoring and communication equipment (data loggers, routers, sensors, etc.).Routine maintenance activities on security system devices (cameras, barriers, etc.).Fault finding on electrical components by means of visual inspections or professional site measurement activities (thermal imaging, insulation tester, etc.).Execute corrective measures to keep the system available.Engage and manage subcontractors.Called to perform reactive and corrective maintenance activities as well as, from time to time, to manage subcontractors and control the quality of activities performed.The site technician shall give availability for working from time to time during weekends and bank holidays.Skills and qualifications Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in electrical installation and maintenance, preferably in industrial or utility-scale environments.Proven experience or technical knowledge of photovoltaic (PV) systems.Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.Proficiency in using electrical testing toolsGood working knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to work independently and manage time effectivelyStrong communication skillsProblem-solving mindsetTeam playerProfessionalismValid and clean car driving licence.NVQ Level 3 electrical certification.A great benefit package to include:Employee Assistance ProgrammePension schemeBonus schemeCompany sick payInflation support schemeTeam-building daysGreat company culture and regular social eventsWellness Wednesday for 30 minutes every week for mindfulness on top of lunch breakExtensive learning and development programmeRegular wellbeing check-insCompany mobile phoneLaptop25 days of annual leave plus Bank holidaysTOIL mechanism – built up for hours worked in the week, which can be used in the form of TOIL or accumulated and paid at the end of the financial year.Hours worked for call-outs to be paid at the end of each month.standby call-out paymentsVehicle with fuel cardsAt Stern Energy, we are deeply committed to promoting equity and inclusion, and we celebrate the diversity of our team—both those who are with us today and those who will join us in the future.
