Ground Investigation ConsultantWe’re looking for an experienced ground investigation professional to join a multidisciplinary company. You’ll manage and supervise ground investigations, collect and interpret site and lab data, and produce technical reports across infrastructure sectors including rail, highways, and waterways.Key Responsibilities:Manage ground investigation tasks and coordinate supply chains.Conduct fieldwork including soil and rock logging, sampling, and in-situ testing.Prepare factual reports and schedule lab analyses.Ensure health and safety compliance on site.Collaborate across disciplines to deliver high-quality project outcomes.Maintain strong client relationships and clear communication.Requirements:Degree in Geology or Earth Sciences.Must have at least a couple of years of post-grad experience in the UK on geo-environmental projects.Site supervision experience (e.g. drilling contractors).Strong understanding of ground investigation risks and safety.SSSTS/SMSTS preferred.Skilled in factual reporting.Progressing toward professional chartership.Experience in rail/highways is a plus.Contract Details:6-month initial contract.Location: S.W England (sites along the M3, M4 and M5).Minimum 12 months experience in geo-environmental projects.Pay rate is dependant on grade: £40-70ph (umbrella)Inside IR35 – role may get re-assessedFor information about this position or any others within the Civil Engineering market please contact Sean Brown.Please note to be considered for the role, you must be eligible to work in the UK without sponsorship requirements.
