HB Tunnelling are looking for a Civil Engineering Estimator, ideally with experience in tunnelling, shaft sinking and trenchless industry to support the estimating and work winning team and reporting to the Pre-Contracts Director.Key RequirementsEssential - Excel - Proficient in the use of excelEssential - Experience using MS Project & Preparing Programmes SchedulesEssential - Construction knowledge background with civils and utilities experienceDesirable - Diploma/Degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying, or a related field.Key Skills and Competencies• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, interpret project specifications, and estimate quantities and costs.• Attention to Detail: Meticulous in reviewing documents, plans, and costs to ensure accuracy in estimates.• Numeracy: Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills to calculate costs and quantities.• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry practices (or a willingness to learn).• Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.• Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and stay organized with documentation and deadlines.• IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with senior estimators and other project team members.• Training: Willingness to learn and develop technical skills through on-the-job training or formal coursework.Package will be dependant on experience
