Quantity SurveyorSub Division: DefenceLocation: BromsgroveContract Type: PermanentHours: Full Time - 40 hours - Monday to FridayCreating and maintaining great places to live and work delivered by excellent people who care…Purpose of the Role:Vinci Facilities is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Defence sector team, supporting a wide portfolio of refurbishment and new-build projects across the MOD Estate.Job Description:This is an exciting opportunity to play a key commercial role within a secure, mission-critical environment, delivering high-quality facilities solutions that directly support UK Defence infrastructure.ResponsibilitiesProvide full commercial support across refurbishment, maintenance, and new-build projects.Prepare cost plans, estimates, valuations, and cost reports in line with contract requirements.Manage subcontract procurement, contract administration, and payments.Monitor project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, ensuring cost control throughout the project lifecycle.Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.Work closely with project managers, site teams, clients, and MOD stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.Ensure compliance with contract terms, governance, and Defence-sector protocols.Support final account preparation and negotiation.Essential Qualifications/SkillsProven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within construction, refurbishment, or facilities management.Experience working within Defence, secure environments, or public sector frameworks (desirable).Strong commercial acumen with excellent analytical and negotiation skills.Ability to manage multiple projects across geographically dispersed sites.Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach.A degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline (or equivalent experience).Professional membership (RICS or working toward it) is an advantage.Eligibility for Security Clearance (SC) – essential.In return for your hard work we offer additional training and development, 26 days holiday (+ bank holidays), generous pension contribution, life assurance and much more.We are VINCI Facilities – experts in the built environment.
