You’ll be accountable for the performance and reliability of machinery through preventative and predictive maintenance strategies. This hands-on role is central to our ambition of zero breakdowns and zero stops, and will contribute to both short-term performance and long-term asset development.What You Will DoMaintenance Leadership: Manage and plan mechanical work on site, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and legal standardsTechnical Support: Coach and support operational colleagues in resolving mechanical issues and improving machine reliabilityPerformance Management: Own mechanical maintenance KPIs and drive continuous improvement to meet departmental objectivesSystem Oversight: Manage mechanical work through SAP (CMMS), ensuring accurate planning, execution, and documentationContractor Management: Oversee mechanical contractors and uphold high standards of work, including quality audits and commissioningTeam Development: Lead and mentor junior technicians, fostering skill development and capability growthWorkshop Excellence: Maintain workshop standards and ensure permit control and health & safety adherenceWho You AreCompleted a recognised multi-skilled or mechanical engineering apprenticeship, ideally with City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3Proven mechanical experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, or process environmentsStrong troubleshooting skills and experience maintaining complex automated manufacturing systems, including large rotating equipment and hydraulicsSkilled in planning, mentoring, and problem-solving, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and timelinesExperience using SAP for maintenance planning and executionWhat We Can Offer YouOur purpose, Breaking Barriers to Well-being, provides meaning to everything we do.
