Senior Platform EngineerManchester - Hybrid£60,000 - £72,000 plus packageOur client, a leading UK cyber security organisation, is currently seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to work on critical National Security projects that help protect nations, governments and businesses against evolving digital threats and challenges in the most demanding environments.As a Senior Platform Engineer you will:Collaboratively design and build Proof of Concept or Production systems that form part of properly engineered information or communications solutionsUtilise CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity and BitbucketWork with Version Control Systems including Git, Mercurial, and PerforceImplement and maintain automated testing frameworksDeploy and manage Cloud Computing infrastructure, particularly AWS and MS AzureWork with containerisation technologies including Docker and KubernetesHave opportunities to mentor junior level developersThe Senior Platform Engineer will have:Strong programming experience in one or more of JavaScript, Java, .Net, or PythonProven experience working within agile environments using Scrum, Lean, or Kanban methodologiesKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworksUnderstanding of common software design patterns and static code analysis tools (e.g. SonarQube)The ability to work as part of a team, knowledge share and solve complex client challenges using precedent and creativityExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), or database systems would be advantageousThe Package:£60,000 - £72,000 base salaryDiscretionary bonus scheme25 days holiday with buy/sell and carry over optionsPension schemeApplicants MUST have the unrestricted right to work in the UK and be eligible to undertake National Security Vetting (SC Clearance).
