Support Worker

Sounds great, what will I be doing? Empower a caseload of service users to manage their health and wellbeing. As part of a team, you will support a ​staffing rota offering support to service users between the hours of 8am-10pm Mon-Sun each week. In ​collaboration with your team, you will actively monitor wellbeing, mental health, housing and living environment ​to ensure service users journey into independence. Moreover, you will take a solution focused and co-produced approach to supporting service users with their move-on into independent living.​ What do I need to bring with me? Here's what the team will be looking for You have experience working with individuals who have mental health and/or dual diagnosis needs in a paid or voluntary capacity, and you are able to learn quickly, gather information, and make sound decisions. You can record and share detailed information accurately and confidentially, while maintaining professionalism and clear communication. You are skilled in working with people who may display challenging behaviour, using de-escalation techniques and a calm, non-judgemental, anti-discriminatory approach. You bring a solution-focused mindset, working collaboratively to resolve problems and remaining optimistic about people's capacity for change. You are comfortable working in fast-paced or chaotic environments and can manage pressure while maintaining boundaries and quality of support. You are willing to work early, late, and occasional weekend shifts as part of a team rota, and you have strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding, with the ability to respond appropriately when concerns arise. When will I be working? You will be working on rota between 08:00 to 22:00 Monday to Sunday each week with a maximum of 39 hours each week Interview Steps We keep our interview process simple, so you know exactly what to expect.
