About the RoleCopello are seeking an experienced Nuclear Engineer to join a growing team delivering cutting-edge projects within the UK Defence sector. What You’ll Be DoingReviewing design documentation and assessing plant design changesAssessing plant build maturity for transition between build phasesEnsuring maintenance of reactor plant design intent throughout build and commissioningSupporting the writing and presentation of technical reports to aid problem resolutionContributing to programme delivery through innovative engineering solutionsSupporting the Intelligent Customer function for reactor plant documentation and safety casesGaining experience by learning from senior engineers and developing towards future opportunitiesYour Skills and ExperienceEssential:Degree-qualified in Engineering or Physical Sciences (e.g. Electrical, Mechanical, Nuclear, Materials, Chemistry, Physics) or equivalent experienceUnderstanding of the engineering lifecycleStrong sense of ownership and accountability in work deliveryAbility to produce clear, structured technical reportsDesirable:Experience justifying design change, ideally within a nuclear environmentUnderstanding of nuclear regulations and industry standardsExperience within civil nuclear or defence/naval engineeringCompletion of a graduate scheme or prior relevant industry experienceStrong presentation and communication skills
