Kraken is committed to industry-leading security, crypto education, and world-class client support through our products like Kraken Pro, Desktop, Wallet, and Kraken Futures.Become a Krakenite and build the future of cryptoProof of workThe teamWe are currently seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our growing Payments & Blockchain team, with a focus on analyzing and optimizing growth across Kraken’s crypto systems. The Payments & Blockchain team is responsible for the first and last mile of every dollar (digital or fiat) that goes in or out of Kraken, as well as driving strategic decisions that improve asset listings and liquidity.Within this group, the Custody team focuses on safeguarding client assets and building the infrastructure that enables secure, efficient, and scalable crypto custody operations. The team designs and manages custody frameworks that balance operational agility with institutional-grade security standards, ensuring that Kraken’s clients (from individual traders to large institutions) can trust the protection and accessibility of their digital assets.The Custody team partners closely with Engineering, Security, Compliance, and Product teams to develop and maintain wallet infrastructure across hot, warm, and cold environments, oversee private key management, and continuously strengthen the systems that protect client funds. Their work is foundational to Kraken’s reputation for reliability, resilience, and trust in the global crypto landscape.The opportunityManage Product Initiatives from inception through completion while leveraging your excellent stakeholder management and program management skills, including crypto custody management and cross-chain liquidity management.Collaborate with a diverse cross-functional team (Product, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, UX, UXR, Data and others) to deliver critical product development programs and projectsEstablish roadmaps and milestones, anticipate and manage risks, resolve technical and operational challengesEstablish and manage product launches, communication forums, artefacts, reporting formats and tools to scale high quality product development operationsSkills You Should HODLMust have a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies of crypto custody and wallet management, experience with cross-chain liquidity management.4+ years experience working as a product manager or similar role in a technology companyExperience coordinating a full lifecycle of product development, incl. launching features to consumers, through frontend and backend platform developmentExperience working with and coordinating operations of large cross-functional and interdisciplinary working groups (e.g. product management, engineering, data, design, etc.)Tenacious, self starter who thrives in understanding the details of complex, cross-functional projects and can effectively distill into actionable project plans.Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, both written and verbalAbility to exercise technical and product judgment in solving roadblocksAbility to be an influential member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical membersNice to have'sBachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, other technical or analytical fields, or equivalent practical experienceExperience working with SQL and APIsThis job is accepting ongoing applications and there is no application deadline.Please note, applicants are permitted to redact or remove information on their resume that identifies age, date of birth, or dates of attendance at or graduation from an educational institution.We consider qualified applicants with criminal histories for employment on our team, assessing candidates in a manner consistent with the requirements of the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance.Kraken is powered by people from around the world and we celebrate all Krakenites for their diverse talents, backgrounds, contributions and unique perspectives.
