As the team grows, so does the need to ensure that our systems, workflows, training and digital capability evolve in a thoughtful, scalable and future-focused way.You’d be stepping into this new role supporting the firm’s growth in line with our mission to ensure our people, our clients and our industry flourish over the long term.A key part of supporting that flourishing is embracing the audit technology, digital tools and intelligent efficiencies shaping the profession, including the thoughtful, safe and purposeful use of automation and AI. Your impact is in shaping how our 50-person audit team works, learns and uses technology to deliver high-quality, efficient audits.Lead the Technology and Training Agenda, What this looks like:Optimising and embedding our core systems: CaseWare Cloud, CCH, Trullion, MS Dynamics workflows, iManage and Microsoft 365Designing digital best practice: workflows, templates, guidance and training resourcesDelivering structured training and onboarding across all levelsStrengthening digital confidence across the departmentSupporting the safe, practical rollout of audit technology, automation and AI-enabled processesTesting, refining and championing opportunities for smarter, more efficient workingActing as the link between Audit, IT, People and external software vendorsEnsuring our digital infrastructure supports high-quality, scalable audit deliveryThis is fundamentally a systems, optimisation and training role, not a client-delivery position.Who Will Thrive in This RoleYou’ll likely be currently in an audit role, working at either Assistant Manager, Manager or Senior Manager level, qualified ACA or ACCA, and bringing the technical grounding and credibility that comes from several years in an accountancy practice.More importantly, you’re the person who:Colleagues turn to when systems aren’t workingNotices better ways to structure a workflowExperiments with new features and automation because it interests youBuilds templates or improves processes because it benefits the teamFeels energised rather than threatened by AI and digital transformationEnjoys explaining tools and making technology feel simpleCan translate complex audit methodology into clear, practical digital workflowsThinks not just about what needs doing, but how it could be done smarterYou’re solutions-focused, improvement-minded and motivated by helping people work more effectively.Even Better If You Bring:Experience with CaseWare Cloud or similar audit platformsFamiliarity with Trullion, DataSnipper or other AI-enabled toolsA track record of delivering internal training or supporting systems rolloutsInvolvement in methodology, quality or process-improvement initiativesConfidence contributing to innovation or digital-transformation projectsAdditional InformationSalary: £63,000 to £72,000 (full time)Hours: Open to part time at 21 hours (3 days) per week, or full time at 35 hours (5 days) per weekLocation: HybridAt three days per week, your focus will be on core systems optimisation, audit technology and technical training.At five days per week, the role would expand to include additional training delivery and support for quality and methodology initiatives.At Goodman Jones LLP, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected.
