As software engineering re-shapes with AI, so is Snyk, building an AI-powered platform to secure AI-driven coding, AI-native workflows, and supporting organizations to adopt AI in a trusted and secure environment.Do you want to join Snyk’s mission in securing the world’s code and make Snyk a popular brand by developers and security professionals?We’re looking for an experienced Developer Advocate with hands-on development skills to lead AI Security research work that will graduate into building, and deploying creative engineering projects that aim to educate developers about the state of AI Security and showcase Snyk’s products in engaging ways that appeal to developers.As The Snyk Developer AdvocateMake developers and security experts love and adopt SnykYour engineering work will support DevRel and other organization functions in engaging developers at scale. Your work will likely be used by customers as integrations, demos, and educational material about AI Security and Snyk. Given your role in developer relations, you will create content in various ways (e.g: social media, ebook, article or videos) based on your research and engineering work, present it at conferences and community events, and you will collaborate with product and marketing to support and promote these deliverables. Your deliverables will likely include thought leadership content, runnable applications (e.g: web, api, command-line) and developer relations related activities such as producing, content, and talks.What You’ll DoActively building applications and demos that demonstrate AI-related security issues and vulnerabilities, highlighting Snyk products in detecting, fixing, and addressing these issues.Collaborate with Snyk’s security research team, marketing leaders, and other peers to build demos and applications that will be used for presentations, events, deployed to the web for users and other targets to educate and engage developers and security practitioners.Translate your engineering projects into event talks, videos, articles and other forms of content to reach developers and engage them about the AI security domain.As a developer advocate at an office-based Snyk location, you will likely engage with product teams to provide early feedback representing the voice of developers, collaborate and support product releases and launches.Present at events, conferences and community gatherings in the region, as well as meet and present to Snyk customers and prospects.Research-to-content production of AI security projects that are highly relevant and effectively showcase Snyk products.What You BringPast experience as a software developer and/or comparable proven experience with hands-on software engineering capabilities, understanding of SDLC, Cloud Native application development, CI/CD practices and deployment of software projects.Prior experience working in a team environment and/or collaborating with multiple stakeholders.Experience in actively producing high-quality educational content (video or written content).Practical experience with AI coding agents, AI-related workflows, and AI technologies.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience working previously in Developer Relations or similar roles.It’d Be Awesome If You Also… Are passionate about educating developers and decision makers.Are passionate about developer security and genuinely believe developers are key to solving application security issues.Are passionate about the role Snyk plays in securing AI-generated code in modern LLM-driven coding workflows.Enjoy building in public and sharing your knowledge through blog posts, talks, and other community engagements.We care deeply about the warm, inclusive environment we’ve created and we value diversity – we welcome applications from those typically underrepresented in tech.
