Have a look to our case studies: https://witekio.com/category/case-studies/We are looking for Embedded Software Engineer (Embedded Linux) who shows enthusiasm for new technical solutions, services and devices and is not afraid to think outside the box.Based in our North Bristol office, you will join our team of 20+ engineers.Our team of developers are specialized in Embedded C / C++, Linux, RTOS, middleware, applications, and cloud technologies. The team can develop from scratch and can also suggest to our customers different solutions to complex issues, from defining software architecture for greenfield projects to helping fix their ongoing projects.This position includes interactions with embedded teams from our engineering offices in the USA, France and Germany.Your responsibilitiesSoftware design and implementation on embedded devicesContributing to the development projects with focus on BSP porting and customisation for Linux and user space codeCustomisation of Yocto/Buildroot distributionsConverting user stories into technical requirements and tasks Coding, integrating, testing and debugging software written in C/C++Developing on various architectures (ARM, RISC-V, MIPS, x86)Developing and customising Board Support Packages (BSP) for customer specific hardware to provide additional functionality (software update, security, optimisation etc.)Porting the OS to new platformsDriver and kernel development and customisation Your profile3+ years related experience in embedded software developmentExperience with Embedded Linux (mandatory), ideally Linux kernel driver developmentStrong C/C++ expertiseStrong expertise refining requirements into development tasksGreat communication skills and experience interacting with clientsTeam player Although a good level of education is really valuable to us and highly appreciated, our emphasis is on an open mindset The Witekian TouchExposure across a variety of projects and industriesInternational environment with teams distributed across 4 countries (France, Germany, UK and US) and inter-office mobility opportunities3 Witekian days per year to work / learn / think on any technology or language you are interested inFlexible culture: flexible hours, remote work policy (on site, hybrid, full remote)34 days annual leave (including bank holidays)Pension and health insuranceCycle to work schemeEV chargers available at the office Recruitment processIntroductory call with a recruiterTechnical assessment on technology platform CodinGameTechnical interview with engineering teamManager’s interview
