Working closely with operations, suppliers, and customer services input to deliver industry leading performance required of NCR’s media handling devices used in self-service products (Auto-Teller Machines for the Banking Industry). A key requirement is to have previous experience in a mechanical design team preferably working on electro/mechanical systems operating under S/W control.The Successful Candidate Will Have Knowledge OfNew Product design and lifecycle support of existing products from a mechanical perspectiveCreate mechanical designs, provide estimates, manufacturing options etc. Experience in the Design of Mechanisms, working with tooling suppliers and parts manufactureProven track record delivering cost effective designs to specification and engineering standardsIn depth understanding of supplier engagement and change managementCollaborate with Engineers from different disciplines to enable system wide integrationPlan design validation via design reviews, stress analysis, assembly tolerances, testing and problem correction CLCAEnsure parts / work products are released using the approved system with all relevant documentation required to implement your design changeQualificationsBasic QualificationsA Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Hons 2:1 or better preferred).Strong understanding of Mechanical design principles and technologies. Minimum 5 years’ experience developing or supporting complex mechanical products such asHigh speed, document feeding, transportation, sorting & stacking mechanisms. Autonomous, fault tolerant media handling systems under the impact of climatic variations.
