Their leadership team is committed to creating a workplace where your voice matters and your growth is actively supported.The RoleThey’re looking for an experienced Ecologist who’s ready to take the next step toward becoming a Senior. You’ll work on a wide range of ecological projects across the UK, collaborating with in-house teams and external partners. Most importantly, they’ll support your development through a structured training programme designed to help you progress to Senior Ecologist within 6 months (or similar agreed timescale). This plan is agreed with your line manager within your first 3 months and includes clear, achievable milestones.What You’ll Be DoingSupporting and leading ecological surveys and assessmentsContributing to Ecological Impact Assessments (EIA), HRAs, and BNG strategiesPreparing high-quality reports and mitigation plansWorking closely with clients, regulators, and internal teamsMentoring junior staff and contributing to team developmentParticipating in bid writing and fee proposals as your confidence growsWorking across protected species, habitats - no licences required although preferredWhat We’re Looking For:Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related fieldCIEEM membership (or working toward it)Strong understanding of UK environmental legislation and planning policyExcellent report writing and data interpretation skillsOrganised, proactive, and confident communicatorFull UK driving licenceDesirable:Experience in consultancy or client-facing rolesFamiliarity with project management tools (e.g., WorkflowMax)CSCS or EMSS cardWhat Is On Offer£30,000 – £40,000 salary (depending on experience)Structured promotion pathway to Senior Ecologist within 6 months (or agreed timescale)20 CPD days annually25 days annual leave + 9 Scottish bank holidays (increasing with service)Flexible TOIL/balancing hours policyPaid professional membershipsSupportive, inclusive team culture with real progression opportunitiesInterested?If you’re an experienced Ecologist ready to step into a Senior role- with the support, structure, and flexibility to grow- get in touch.
