About The RoleAre you passionate about design and ready to turn ideas into reality?We’re on the lookout for a forward-thinking Design Implementation Specialist to join our North Cluster Design & Innovation team at DS Smith. Based at our Featherstone packaging site, you’ll help bring innovative packaging concepts to life for our FMCG, e-Commerce and specialty clients.This is an exciting opportunity to play a hands-on role in transforming creative packaging designs into prototypes that exceed customer expectations and boost operational efficiency. You’ll be working closely with our Sales and Design teams to ensure the seamless delivery of custom solutions that delight our clients every day.What You’ll DoBring to life creative packaging concepts developed by our Creative and Innovation SpecialistsProduce prototypes that align with client briefs and technical requirementsUse CAD and other design tools to craft both 2D and 3D packaging solutionsWork with cutting-edge software and remote collaboration tools to support sustainable designGain a deep understanding of the full packaging design process while learning from industry expertsWhether you’re just getting started or looking to grow in the design world, this role offers clear progression and mentoring from a skilled and supportive team.EssentialWhat we’re looking forRecognised qualification in packaging or equivalent hands-on experienceExperience using CAD and collaborative design platformsStrong grasp of 2D and 3D design principlesGreat attention to detail and problem-solving skillsConfident communicator and proactive team playerAble to thrive under pressure during busy periodsProficient in MS Office (Adobe skills a bonus)DesirablePrior experience in a similar roleFamiliarity with other design software beyond CADWhat We OfferCompetitive salary25 days holiday + bank holidaysPension scheme, life assurance & income protectionElectric car salary sacrifice schemeCycle to work & employee discount programmesEmployee Assistance Programme for wellbeing supportTurn your passion into a career and help shape the future of sustainable packaging with DS Smith.Location: Featherstone – On site, Monday to Friday - 09:00 – 17:00About UsWe’re DS Smith, the company who are redefining packaging for a changing world.
