Spectrum Geosurvey are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated individual to join our growing team based in our Lymington office.Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be required to perform a variety of roles within the company and be prepared to travel and work away from home when required. The Senior Surveyor will develop their skill set to carry out the following tasks within our growing company:Undertake fieldwork for extended periods of time away from home on projects onshore and offshoreLead offshore surveys as a Party ChiefAbility to PM intermediate - complex projectsAssist in leading data acquisition, maintain accurate records and assist in maintaining quality and consistency of field data, data processing, deliverable creation, and data management.Assist Processing and reporting managers with reporting, charting & data managementAssist Project Managers in project technical mattersBe a role model for more junior members of staff and lead by a good exampleBe a technical authority on survey equipment and softwareContinual training/development of junior staff and maintaining and updating training/procedural materialImplementing best practices for handling, maintaining and storing survey equipment as per manufacturer's instructions or company guidanceLead vessel mobilisations and calibrationsLiaise with clients and organisations throughout the lifecycle of projectsLine management of more junior staffShow a high level of leadership amongst the teamSupporting and maintaining QHSE standards including BMS documentationUndertake data processing when requiredTake the lead of research into new technologies and arrange system/software trials to keep Spectrum on the cutting edgeForm part of the on call roster for weekend technical supportRequired education/experience & attributesA high level of competence in data processing, data aquisition, systems integrationExperience in at least one marine survey acquisition and processing software suiteExperience of training and mentoringExperience with AutoCAD and understanding offsets/rotations to plan, perform and generate reports for Dimensional Control SurveysHave at least 3 years working onboard vessels undertaking marine survey operationsHave lead a small team undertaking various marine survey tasksHave lead vessel mobilisations and calibrationsHigh level of attention to detailHigh level of computer literacyProject Management of projects with intermediate complexityCore attributes and conductAdhere to moral and ethical principles in all interactionsBe inclusive, respectful and team-focusedBeing open and honest in communication and operationsCelebrate other people's successes - raise each other upContribute to a cooperative and supportive work environmentEnsure the confidentiality and security of data and company informationMaintain the highest levels of professionalism within the teamProviding a positive feedback loop to improve quality and practicesTake ownership of your training/developmentWork safely - your safety and that of othersPossess the energy, drive and commitment to further the work of the companyCompany Benefits33 days of annual leave per year (including Bank Holidays)Private Medical Insurance Programme (Bupa)Pension 5% MatchedFlexible working hoursContinuous training and development opportunitiesCycle to work scheme (salary sacrifice)Modern, environmentally friendly office with sit down/standing desksAn Employee Assistance Programme, providing trained wellbeing and counselling practitioners and 24/7 telephone supportFree eye testsFree team lunch on a WednesdayGreat team cultureSport socialsHow to Apply:Interested applicants should submit a CV and a cover letter outlining their suitability for the role to cv@spectrum-offshore.com.
