Application Packaging & Deployment Engineer Salary: £50,000–£60,000Contract: 6-month FTC (extensions likely)Location: Fully remote (occasional UK travel)Clearance: UK Security Clearance (SC) – RequiredWhy This Role Stands OutWork on enterprise-scale application packaging and deployment in a high-profile IT environment.Hands-on with cutting-edge tools including SCCM, Intune, AdminStudio, and PowerShell.Opportunity to modernize legacy applications and deliver reliable, automated software deployments.Remote-first role with occasional team meet-ups.12-month FTC with extensions possible – excellent contract stability.Role OverviewWe’re looking for two Application Packaging & Deployment Engineers to package, test, and deploy applications across the enterprise. You’ll work closely with deployment teams, service operations, and governance teams to ensure consistent, secure, and compliant software delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesPackage applications using AdminStudio, InstallShield, and PowerShell.Maintain consistent naming conventions and package standards.Migrate legacy applications to MSIX or Intune-based deployment.Deploy and troubleshoot applications via SCCM and Intune.Maintain deployment infrastructure including collections, boundaries, and distribution points.Work across pre-production and production environments to ensure smooth rollout.Document processes and share knowledge with internal teams.Participate in change management and governance activities.Skills & ExperienceProven experience in application packaging (MSI, App-V, Intune).Strong command of SCCM (Current Branch).Scripting skills: PowerShell, VBScript, Batch.Knowledge of Windows 10/11, Active Directory, and Group Policy.Experience with Intune, Autopilot, and Conditional Access.Ability to work in a collaborative, multi-team enterprise environment.Microsoft certifications (MCSA, MD-102) and ITIL Foundation are desirable.If your hold this sounds like you, and you hold SC Clearance than apply today and one of our team will be in touch with you to discuss the opportunity in more detail.
